Finally!

Complete joy today at getting our boys!

It was so surreal though. We've been watching YouTube videos and other folks' blog, so we had a bit of a pre-conceived idea as to how it would go. You know, the little walk to the foster home, a nice little piece of video, you know, a T.V. show thing.

Well it didn't happen like that. We thought we were going to the office first to do some paperwork before getting the boys. Here we are sitting in an office and I say, "Matt, I think the boys are here. Get the camera ready." Sure enough, about 0.5 seconds later, Abe bounds down the stairs and one of the ladies enters with Ash on her hip. We weren't even ready emotionally for the meeting. No time to cry. Here they are!
This is our first photo with the boys. Enjoy!

Forget the Theme?

In case you weren't paying attention, the main theme of this blog has been patience. We thought we were getting the boys the first day we arrived in Ethiopia. Just about 5 minutes into our shuttle ride, we figured out that we'd have to wait another day. At this point in the journey we were totally prepared to wait; after all, what's one more day when you've waited this long?

The trip to Ethiopia Guest House was interesting enough. We were wiped from the trip and in hindsight, needed a day to adjust without kids.
